For our next leap, from today's building models to textured LoD3 buildings, we are looking for you as a Senior Computer Vision / Photogrammetry Engineer (m/f/d), starting at the earliest possible date, based in Münster or remote anywhere in Germany.
Your mission:
- Fuse every source into one model: Combine 2D cadastral data, LiDAR point clouds, oblique aerial imagery, nadir satellite imagery and further sources into the most accurate representation of the real world.
- Improve our 3D models: You bring in image data and modern 3D reconstruction techniques into our product, from multi-view stereo to methods such as Gaussian Splatting, and evaluate which of them improve our building details like roofs, dormers and chimneys.
- Reach textured LoD3: Texture our models from oblique imagery and detect windows, doors and façade elements, projecting them consistently onto the right surface of the right building, so that floor spaces, usable areas and surface areas can be calculated with far higher precision.
- Get more out of the imagery: Implement methods such as multi-image super-resolution and occlusion-aware reconstruction to overcome limited image resolution and occlusion by trees and other objects.
- Take research to production: Together with our data engineers, who own the pipelines and platform, you grow methods from a handful of buildings to millions.
- Develop AI-natively: Utilize the full potential of modern AI coding tools like Claude Code and Copilot and proactively identify new AI use cases in the context of computer vision and 3D reconstruction.
