Product Designer (UI/UX) (f/m/d)

Your mission

Shape how real estate professionals experience the future of urban development. 

syte's software helps developers, planners, and investors make complex decisions about real estate projects. The interface sits between rich data and high-stakes choices - there's no playbook for this. You own how that experience feels.

As a Product Designer (UI/UX) (m/f/d) you will sit in discovery, understand the problem firsthand, and bring your own proposals for how things should work. You will build syte's design practice from the ground up - the system, the workflows, the standard.

  • Product UX & Design System: You maintain and evolve the syte Design System. You own the end-to-end user experience from early concepts through release.

  • Discovery & User Research: You join customer interviews and run usability tests alongside Product Managers. You analyze user behavior through analytics tools to identify friction and usage patterns. Your designs are grounded in observed behavior, not assumptions, and you validate ideas with prototypes before engineering invests.

  • Tech Aware Design: You will work closely with the development team to understand constraints and new possibilities. You deliver designs that are informed by what's technically feasible, and push engineering when better UX is worth the investment.

  • Consistency across teams: You make sure the app feels like one product – not a collection of features. As we scale to multiple teams, you ensure visual and interaction coherence across all product surfaces.

Your profile

  • Experience level: You have 5+ years of experience in design or 3+ in UX/product design.
  • Tools: You are proficient in Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Visual craft: You have a solid understanding and feeling for typography, layout, color harmony, and aesthetics.
  • Systems thinking: You have experience building or maintaining a design system.
  • AI-native workflow: You actively use AI tools in your design process and can demonstrate how.
  • Mindset: You are self-directed and opinionated – you don't wait for specs.
  • Language: You are fluent in English and have excellent German skills (B2/C1).

Cherry on top

  • Graphic design: You have knowledge of image manipulation and graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Domain experience: You have experience in B2B SaaS or with complex workflows.
  • Interface complexity: You have experience with data-heavy or map-based interfaces.
  • Analytics: You have experience working with product analytics tools (PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar).
  • Industry: You have experience in PropTech, ConTech, or real estate.
